Topics getting the most attention in Huntsville public meetings, ranked by how frequently they come up.
Police Officer Misconduct
A Huntsville police officer was fired by two departments after a viral traffic-stop video showed behavior the mayor called unprofessional and unacceptable. Police Operation
Huntsville Police ran a three-day sweep aimed at gun violence, taking 19 guns off the streets and making nine arrests. If violent crime is on your mind, this is a direct public-safety win. The city hasn’t shared a price tag.
Cybersecurity dark-web monitoring
The city hired a firm to scan the dark web daily for stolen city and vendor credentials — a pilot already caught two exposures before any breach.
